GENEROCITY CHURCH: (The Dream)

Generocity Church has a range of diverse locations in regional, rural, and coastal Australia, and into the hills of Nepal. We live and lead with a commitment to become more like Jesus Christ, and a determination to grow in courageous influence for God's Kingdom.

Fostering an unquenchable desire to awaken our communities to the closeness of Jesus, we are passionate about seeing lives transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit, and by the truth, love and grace of God’s word. We hope every person can discover their identity in Jesus because we believe everyday people are called to have an eternal impact for an extraordinary God!

VISION: (What we aim to achieve)

We cultivate discipleship communities where lives are restored and transformed, as together we know, grow, live and share in the love of Jesus.

VALUES: (Who we will be while achieving our vision)

  1. Personal Impact - 1 Peter 4:11, Romans 12:1-2, Matthew 5:13-16 | We are personally committed to use all that God has given us to impact the world for His glory. 

  1. Thankful Hope - 1 Thessalonians 5:18, Romans 15:13, 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 | We live with faith-filled thankfulness and steadfast hope in all situations.

  1. People Matter - Matthew 22:37-39, John 13:34-35, 1 John 4:7 | We believe every person is valuable and deserving of love, respect and care. We move beyond our comfort to care as Jesus cares. 

  1. Purposeful Prayer - Colossians 4:2, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Philippians 4:6 | We are devoted to conversations with God throughout our day.

  1. Spirit Led - John 16:13, Galatians 5:25, Romans 8:14 | We are sensitive to hearing and responding to Holy Spirit.

  1. Humble Growth - Ephesians 5:21, Philippians 2:3-4, Colossians 3:16 | We approach situations humbly seeking to submit to, and learn from one another as we grow.

LEADERSHIP CULTURAL IMPERATIVES: (Who our leaders agree to be) 

  1. We lead with a multiplier mindset - Hebrews 10:24 | We champion the call, gifts and talents of others, even when it means we go unseen. 

  1. We lead with authenticity, integrity and humility - 1 Peter 5:2-3 | Discipleship is our life, leadership is our privilege. If any task is below us, then leadership is beyond us.

  1. We’re connected and accountable -  Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 | We build strong connections based on shared values, responsibilities, and care for each other.

  1. We have courageous conversations - Ephesians 4:15, Proverbs 27:6 | We have the right conversation, at the right time, with the right people, in the right tone. 

  1. We honour all people - Matthew 7:12, James 3:9 | We choose to treat all people as being in the image of their Creator. 

  1. We prioritise God’s presence - 2 Corinthians 3:18 | We prioritise seeking God’s transforming presence rather than our performance. Leading to motivate a movement of people, rather than propagate programs for people


MISSION: (How we will achieve our vision)

Connecting our communities to Christ by building disciples of courageous influence:

Each location will:

  • Host Life Giving Sunday Gatherings

  • Promote Connect Groups

  • Undertake Prayer and Fasting

  • Commit to Community Partners and Projects 

  • Celebrate GC Conference and Youth Camp

Discipleship Culture Indicators (DCI's) 

What: A range of measurable indicators designed to help inform our pursuit of creating a discipleship culture in all Generocity Church locations.  

Why: Because His vision of a Church filled with disciples of all nations (Matt 28:19-20) is our Mission. Creating an environment of discipleship that empowers followers of Jesus to live and love like Jesus in our communities, while themselves raising more disciples is our purpose.

How: Each Lead Pastor selects at least two indicators of the 4 discipleship imperatives to focus on over a 12-month period. Our Senior or Executive Pastor may ask us all to focus on individual indicators for a season.

Discipleship Imperatives

People would grow in Jesus

  • Pursuing personal gift and calling

People would live like Jesus

  • Expressions of faith (Testimonies - praying for people/provision/serving etc.)

  • Acts of hospitality 

  • Community engagement 

  • Generosity (Giving) 

  • Serving in a gathering

People would share Jesus

  • Discipling others one-on-one

  • Discovery Bible Method 

  • Local community engagement 

  • World mission engagement (esp THP)

MINISTRY PHILOSOPHY: (What we believe about ministry and the structure that supports it)

  1. We believe Jesus Christ is the Head of our Church.

  2. We believe in the Apostolic Church where the gifts and fruit of the Spirit flourish in men, women, young and old. 

  3. We believe the 5-fold ministry is called to equip the body of believers to partner in God’s redemptive story and fulfil the great commission.

  4. We believe in bringing heaven to earth everywhere we see brokenness today. 

  5. "We believe the Spirit and structure are important. Our church functions best when structure serves what the Spirit is doing. We outwork this in humility and community. Philippians 2:3, Galatians 6:3 and 2 Corinthians 13:1".

  6. We do not back down when God leads us to new things.

  7. We are committed to sharing our resources and gifts.

  8. We are locationally motivated, centrally supported, and unified in our vision, values, and mission. 

  9. We are creatively outworking the Discipleship Imperatives in all locations. 

  10. We are connected, celebrating a win for one location as a win for all locations.
